You can distribute the access controller (AC) in branch network, with minimal impact on the legacy network and configuration. After you power on the APs, they automatically get online, identify the AC, and load configurations from the AC. The AC performs authentication, data forwarding, AP management, configuration of security protocols, routing, and QoS. The NMS monitors the AC in real time, and this simplifies AP management and maintenance.
